Εάν η ιδέα του να ζήσεις ένα ταξίδι στο παρελθόν με όχημα ένα ποδήλατο σου ακούγεται μαγική, τότε σίγουρα θα λατρέψεις το Tweed Run. Η παγκόσμια αυτή παράδοση ποδηλατοδρομίας με ρούχα εποχής, διοργανώθηκε για 5η φορά στο γραφικό νησί των Σπετσών, με μεγάλο χορηγό το αγαπημένο, "ασυνήθιστο" gin, Hendrick's. Στις 19-21 Οκτωβρίου έζησα την απόλυτη Tweed Run εμπειρία και νομίζω πως έφτασε η στιγμή να τη μοιραστώ μαζί σου!
Το βράδυ της Παρασκευής, το Hendrick's μας υποδέχτηκε στο Ποσειδώνιο για ένα to-know-us-better δείπνο. Τα τριαντάφυλλα, η ζεστή ατμόσφαιρα, η καλή παρέα και τα Hendrick's Gin & Tonics ήταν αρκετά για να ξεκινήσει ιδανικά το τριήμερο.
Το Σάββατο, ήταν η ημέρα της ποδηλατοδρομίας. Αφού επισκέφθηκα το beauty parlour της Dazzlin' Gal, έβαλα το αγαπημένο μου headpiece από London Boutique και πήρα το ποδήλατό μου, ξεκίνησα τη διαδρομή μου με τελικό προορισμό το Παλιό Λιμάνι των Σπετσών, για picnic με συνοδεία jazz υπόκρουσης. Το απόγευμα, σειρά είχαν τα vintage καλλιστεία στο lobby του Ποσειδωνίου. Εκεί, είχα τη χαρά να βρίσκομαι στην κριτική επιτροπή παρέα με τους Ντιάνα Γρηγοροπούλου (style editor του Madame Figaro), Παναγιώτη Γρηγορίου (ιδιοκτήτης του 1900 The Barber Shop), Ιλιάδα Κλάγκου (founder του blog Kiss Laurenne) και Δημήτρη Τσακούμη (founder του blog Dimitris Goes).

Η ημέρα ολοκληρώθηκε με ένα 20's πάρτι και μουσική από τους Opera Chaotique. Το lobby του Ποσειδωνίου γέμισε ενθουσιώδεις καλεσμένους, με έντονο κέφι για χορό! Όσο για την Κυριακή, μετά από πολλή ποδηλασία και χορό, είχαμε την ευκαιρία να πάρουμε το brunch μας στη βεράντα του Ποσειδωνίου, παρέα με δροσιστικό, Hendrick's punch. Τα vintage σετ τσαγιού και η γαρνιτούρα με αγγούρια και ροδοπέταλα, εμπνευσμένη από τα βασικά συστατικά του "ασυνήθιστου" gin, έκαναν τη διαφορά εξασφαλίζοντας το πιο instagrammable κλικ. Όπως βλέπεις, δυσκολεύτηκα να αποχωριστώ το headpiece της προηγούμενης ημέρας (απέσπασε κιόλας αρκετά κομπλιμέντα και όχι άδικα), οπότε το συνδύασα με το πιο british μπλουζάκι που είχα στη βαλίτσα μου για ένα πιο ανανεωμένο look. Το μπλουζάκι όπως και το headpiece, θα βρεις στο αγαπημένο μου vintage κατάστημα, London Boutique.
Κάπως έτσι, το τριήμερο τελείωσε, αφήνοντάς μας τις καλύτερες αναμνήσεις μίας άλλης εποχής. Το Tweed Run είναι μία μοναδική εμπειρία που θα σου πρότεινα ανεπιφύλακτα να δοκιμάσεις, ειδικά αν αγαπάς τα vintage related δρώμενα όπως εγώ. Προσωπικά, ανυπομονώ ήδη για το επόμενο ραντεβού. If the idea of travelling back in time with a bike sounds to you like magic, it's sure you'll love Tweed Run. This global tradition of cycling in vintage, was held for the 5th time on the picturesque island of Spetses and Hendrick's, the "unusual" gin, was the grand sponsor. On the 19th-20th of October, I lived the absolute Tweed Run experience, and I think it's quite the time to share that with you!
On Friday night, Hendrick's welcomed us at Poseidonion Grand Hotel for a to-know-us-better-dinner. The red roses, the cosy atmosphere, the good company and the Hendrick's Gin & Tonics got the weekend started in the most ideal way.
Saturday was the day of cycling. After visiting Dazzlin' Gal's beauty parlour and wearing my favourite headpiece from London Boutique, I picked my bike and started off my way to the Old Harbour of Spetses, for a picnic with jazz music. In the afternoon, it was time for the vintage beauty pageant. I had the pleasure of joining the jury, along with Diana Grigoropoulou (style editor of Madame Figaro), Panagiotis Grigoriou (owner of 1900 The Barber Shop), Iliada Klangou (founder of Kiss Laurenne blog) and Dimitris Tsakoumis (founder of Dimitris Goes blog).

The day close with a 1920's themed party and music by Opera Chaotique. The lobby of Poseidonion Grand Hotel got full of excited guests with fun for dancing! As for Sunday, after all this cycling and dancing, we had the pleasure to enjoy a british brunch at the verandah of Poseidonion Grand Hotel, along with some refreshing Hendrick's punch. The vintage tea sets and rose & cucumber garnish, inspired from the basic ingredients of this "unusual" gin, made the difference, guaranteeing the most instagrammable click. As you can see, I couldn't but wear my headpiece again (oh, the compliments I got!), but this time I paired it with the most british blouse I owned, in order to achieve a much different look. And just like this, the weekend came to its end, leaving us with the best memories of another era. Tweed Run is an exceptional experience that I would definitely suggest, especially to someone who loves vintage related events as much as I do. Personally, I can't wait to live it again!
